Men Appreciation Thread

Even though my dad is an immature, negligent, pedophilic and stubborn father, doesn't mean all men suck. Men are quite beautiful. Most of my favourite people in the entire world are men. My grandfather was a silent yet strong beauty as was my ex-fiance. My male friends are all down-to-earth, funny and sensitive. And both Mike and Decz seem like two of the coolest boys out there (though Mike, you gotta tone down the bitterness there hun, you're too young to be so grumpy).

Come on ladies, add to this thread. I know you all have your glory stories about some of the most fantastic men in your lives, now share them!

Re:Men Appreciation Thread

I suppose this is a sequel to my women appreciation thread? Trust me I'm not bitter Syd. I just talk like this. I guess it's that hip hop influence.

Re:Men Appreciation Thread

Yep there are definately some great guys out there. That's why I don't bitch about how there aren't any--some of the best friends i've had/have are guys. Their honesty is always refreshing, compared to the game playing/competitiveness that sometimes happens with girl friends. Much love for the guys.

Re:Men Appreciation Thread

Some of the most rewarding friendships I've had have been with guys. My ex-boyfriend is a very sweet and caring person; I've always been able to talk to him about everything.

I guess the thing I love the most about guys is their practical, down-to-earth approach to everything, ie., if it's broke - fix it, if it ain't - leave it be.

There's something very special and unique about male company (not in the sexual sense either)... and most guys have a wicked sense of humour!!

You got it sister, that's why I hang out mostly with guys or really down-to-earth girls. That over-the-top JAP shit is pathetic. Vanity isn't important, establishing genuine, positive and warm connections are.

I wish more people knew that.

Re: Men Appreciation Thread

Men are wonderful creatures. They come in all shapes, sizes and characters and although there are those who arent so great - the same can be said for women. Men are different from us in some ways yet so much like us in other. I wouldn't want to live in a world without men. Men are beautiful! :D

Re:Men Appreciation Thread

In any event, men who are TRULY awesome, who have all of the strengths of bad boys and nice guys with none of the weaknesses (like me), are somewhat rare.

There are a lot of guys out there who are not abusive, but those guys aren't always able to generate that mysterious elative feeling of attraction that makes you want them.

I'm doing what I can to teach the boys around me to become men, because we are pretty awesome, but we can always become more so.

Hey, he set himself up for it. He's cocky and rude, two things men can do without. Heck, two things all people can do without.
