Congrats! They may be cheating more than you think.

You probably already suspect that they’re cheating on you sexually, right? Well, what if that’s not the only way they’re fucking you over? What if they’re undermining your relationship in other, more dangerous ways? What if their getting a little nookie on the side is the least of your worries?

Turns out that a lot of cheating isn't limited to sexual infidelity. Great news, huh? Yeah, now in addition to worrying if your significant other is cheating on you with someone from Accounts Receivable, you can start worrying about being financially cheated on, too. Because according to a recent Forbes online poll, a third of respondents admitted to lying about purchases, secret bank accounts, income, gambling and other debts.

According to the survey, over half ... admitted hiding cash (58%) or minor purchases (54%) ... Of the offenders, 30% have hidden a bill, 16% have hidden a major purchase, 15% had a secret bank account, 11% lied about their debts and another 11% lied about the amount of money they earned.

And those are only the ones stupid enough to admit it on the Internet. The real percentage of financial infidelity is probably a LOT higher, if that makes you feel any better, which it probably doesn't. But honestly, is financially cheating really all that bad? I mean, what's the worst that could come from it?

Among couples impacted by financial infidelity, 67% said the deception led to an argument and 42% said it caused less trust in the relationship. Perhaps most alarming, 16% of these respondents said the money lie led to a divorce and 11% said it led to a separation.

Oh. Well, that sucks.
