We need your help, because the Ultimate List of Breakup Songs won’t assemble itself.

Nearly all of today’s “popular” music is devoid of authenticity and sincerity. It’s emotionally manipulative pablum created in boardrooms by cynical, money-grubbing record company executives bent on separating you from your money.

But every once in awhile, somebody, somehow, gets it right. Somebody taps into the true emotional core of actual human experience — regardless of music genre.

And that’s why we’re compiling a list of the best Rock Breakup Songs, the best Rap Breakup Songs, the best Country Breakup Songs, and the best Pop Breakup Songs to create what will hopefully become the Ultimate List Of Breakup Songs.

So if you know of any killer breakup tracks that helped you get through the tough times, add them in the comments and we’ll add ’em to the list.

The next generation of mankind will owe you a huge debt of thanks.
